A249 northbound mainline lane 1 closure extended until 6am on Friday 13 June 2025

Please be informed that the current lane 1 closure on the A249 northbound mainline has been extended until Friday 13 June 2025 to allow for completion of the works on the northbound slip roads and tie-ins to the A249 mainline.

  • A249 southbound exit slip towards Maidstone is open
  • A249 southbound entry slip towards Maidstone is open
  • Grovehurst Road south B2005 is open
  • A249 northbound entry slip towards the Isle of Sheppey is closed – Due to reopen on 20 June 2025
  • A249 northbound exit slip towards the Isle of Sheppey is closed – Due to reopen on 20 June 2025
  • Grovehurst Road north (Iwade) is closed – Due to reopen on 20 June 2025

 

  • A249 northbound mainline, towards the Isle of Sheppey, lane 1 closure – Due to reopen 13 June 2025
